Veranda Learning PAT up nearly 6X at ₹34 crore

Chennai-based education enterprise Veranda Learning Solutions reported a consolidated PAT of ₹34 crore for the quarter ending June 2026 (Q1FY27) as against ₹6 crore in Q1FY26. Revenue from operations went up 41 per cent to ₹150 crore (₹106 crore). 

The jump in profit was aided by a drop in finance costs to around ₹10 crore from ₹30 crore in the year ago quarter. Q1 profit was also supported by ₹3.4 crore from prior tax adjustments.  

Revenue growth was driven by a surge in enrollments from 77,264 in Q1FY26  to 1,03,963 students in Q1FY27. Collections went up to ₹165 crore (₹130 crore).

As for its verticals, there was broad-based growth across verticals. The commerce segment revenue went up to ₹109 crore (₹74 crore), while managed school services posted a topline of ₹12 crore (10 crore) and the vocational education segment revenue stood at ₹8.6 crore (₹96 lakhs). 

The company recorded the best-ever quarter for government test prep with 15,724 admissions up 28 per cent YoY led by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC) and Railways examinations. Revenue for this vertical stood at ₹32 crore (₹29 crore). 

“We began FY27 on a strong note, with broad based momentum across our portfolio, led by exceptional performance in the Commerce and Government Test Preparation businesses, while our K12 segment continued to strengthen its foundation through investments in systems, partnerships and brand-building that are expected t otranslate into stronger growth over the coming quarters,” Suresh S. Kalpathi, Executive Director and Chairman of Veranda Learning Solutions, said.



Shares of Veranda Learning Solutions on NSE closed at ₹243.00 on Thursday, down 3.32 per cent or ₹8.35.
