has secured a 452MW module supply contract in the United States through its wholly owned subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas. The Indian clean energy company will deliver the modules to an American utility-scale solar and energy storage project developer across fiscal years 2026-27.
The agreement represents a significant expansion of Waaree’s North American operations and reflects growing US reliance on Indian manufacturing capabilities for renewable energy infrastructure. The deal comes as American developers seek to diversify their supply chains beyond traditional manufacturing hubs.
“This order is more than a commercial achievement – it is a symbol of India’s rise as a clean energy manufacturing powerhouse,” said Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas. The executive emphasized the company’s role in bridging US demand for scale and reliability with India’s manufacturing capabilities.
Waaree describes itself as a global leader in solar energy with the largest presence outside of China. The company operates across multiple continents and maintains US manufacturing capabilities alongside its international operations.
The supply contract is structured as a one-time agreement with no promoter or related-party involvement. The deal underscores India’s emerging role as a trusted partner in global renewable energy supply chains as countries work to accelerate decarbonization efforts.
