Waaree Solar Americas Inc. has signed a 586 MW solar module supply agreement worth $176 million with a leading US independent power producer, the company announced Thursday. The contract represents approximately ₹1,500 crore and marks a significant expansion of the Indian solar manufacturer’s presence in the American market.

The modules will be produced at Waaree’s manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, with deliveries scheduled across four projects during fiscal years 2026-27. The production will utilise domestically sourced components to meet Investment Tax Credit domestic content requirements, supporting US clean energy supply chain objectives.

Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, said the agreement demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a resilient clean energy supply chain in the United States. He emphasised that the Brookshire facility is positioned to meet market demand amid shifting trade dynamics and increased focus on domestic manufacturing.

The partnership comes as US energy demand continues rising, driven by AI infrastructure development and industrial growth. Waaree positions itself as a global solar manufacturer with supply chain capabilities designed to mitigate trade risks and ensure continuous supply.

Waaree Energies Limited, the parent company, is one of India’s largest solar PV module manufacturers. The company describes itself as having the largest solar presence outside of China, with operations spanning multiple continents.
