Wall Street tumbles on soaring oil prices amid Middle East conflict

Wall Street’s key stock indices tumbled on Monday, as soaring oil prices heightened inflation worries, amid the raging Middle East conflict.

As of 9:35 a.m. Eastern Time, the S&P 500 fell 1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite was 0.8% lower.

Early Monday, the price for a barrel of Brent crude, the international standard, briefly touched $119.50.
