HyperVault, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Saturday announced that it has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad to develop a large-scale artificial intelligence data centre campus with a total investment outlay of up to Rs 70,000 crore. The purpose-built facility, which will have a capacity of up to 1 Gigawatt (GW), is designed to support frontier AI companies and hyperscalers with high-density, liquid-cooled compute infrastructure on a global scale, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Patrick Raymon McGoldrick, former CEO and Managing Director of Tata Technologies, has pared his stake in the company by selling shares worth nearly Rs 165 crore through block deals on the BSE. McGoldrick offloaded 21 lakh shares in four tranches on Friday, representing a 0.51 per cent stake in the Pune-based global product engineering and digital services firm. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 785, taking the aggregate value of the transaction to Rs 164.85 crore. Following the sale, McGoldrick’s shareholding in Tata Technologies declined to 0.62 per cent from 1.13 per cent.
Tata Motors has launched an all-cash voluntary tender offer to acquire all common shares of Iveco Group for EUR 14.10 per share, valuing the Italian commercial vehicle maker at approximately EUR 3.82 billion. The offer is being made through TML CV Holdings B.V., and the acceptance period will run from September 7 to October 26, 2 according to a joint announcement by Tata Motors and Iveco Group on Friday. The offer price of EUR 14.10 per common share is on a cum-dividend basis. The transaction is the latest step in Tata Motors’ proposed acquisition of Iveco, with the offer document having received approval from Italy’s market regulator Consob.
Adani Defence & Aerospace, subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has signed a five-year agreement with Indo-Russian Rifles Pvt Ltd to supply indigenously produced 7.62×39 mm ammunition for AK-203 assault rifles being manufactured in India, creating an integrated domestic supply chain for the India-Russia rifle programme. Under the agreement, Adani Defence will supply the small-calibre ammunition required for the AK-203 programme for five years, providing an Indian source of supply and supporting continuity of ammunition availability over the contract period, according to the company.
Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has received Letter of Award from SJVN Thermal for the construction of a permanent siding along with an aerial track connection for the Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar. The project, worth Rs 903 crore, is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has announced the receipt of two domestic orders worth a combined total of Rs 131.36 Crore. The first contract has been awarded by Transport Corporation of India Ltd and is valued at Rs 24.48 crore, inclusive of taxes. Under the scope of this order, Texmaco Rail & Engineering will handle the manufacture, supply, and commissioning of one rake of Type: ACT-1 wagon along with one BVCM wagon. This domestic order is scheduled for execution within 16 weeks from the date of the Letter of Intent (LOI).

Nava has announced regarding a planned, temporary shutdown of one of its 60 MW Independent Power Producer (IPP) units located in Odisha. Nava operates energy units in Odisha with a combined generating capacity of 150 MW. This portfolio comprises two 60 MW IPP units and one 30 MW Captive Power Plant (CPP) unit. State-owned NMDC will start the commercial production of thermal coal by October-December period and looks to sell around 1 MT of the dry fuel within FY27, said Amitava Mukherjee, Chairman of India’s largest iron ore mining player. Under the Ministry of Steel, Hyderabad-based NMDC alone caters to the country’s 20 per cent need of iron ore — a key raw material needed to produce steel.
