Himadri Speciality Chemicals has commenced operations at its first anode material production facility at Mahistikry, Hooghly, West Bengal, with an initial installed capacity of 200 MTPA. The facility is the result of over 10 years of in-house research and development, covering the entire anode technology value chain — from raw material processing to finished anode material. This development strengthens the company’s differentiated capabilities in advanced battery materials, positioning it to address the accelerating global demand arising from electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems, it said while presenting Q4/FY26 results.

L&T forays into AI infrastructure with Vyoma.AI

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, viz. Vyoma.AI (VAL) on April 22. VAL is formed to establish data centres and AI infrastructure to provide technology-enabled services. Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services.

Godawari Power ties up for battery energy storage systems supply chain

Godawari Power and Ispat’s wholly owned subsidiary — Godawari New Energy (GNEPL) has entered into a Supply Agreement with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology (Roche Energy), a Company incorporated in the Republic of China, for the supply of Balance of System for 5 MWh DC Block on CKD basis to GNEPL for its first phase of 20 GWH Battery Energy Storage System, em plant at Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, upon commercial terms mutually decided by the GNEPL and Roche Energy. The supply agreement with Roche Energy provides crucial benefits by securing a stable, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain, ensuring consistent quality for GNEPL. The supply agreement with Roche Energy is a major milestone towards manufacturing BESS. The Roche Energy is engaged in the business of BESS product design, manufacturing, material supply, and technology support, etc. (the entire Balance of System, except LFP Cells).

Birla Corporation begins coal mining at Madhya Pradesh project

Birla Corporation has commenced coal mining operations at its Bikram Coal Mine in Burhan, Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh from April 23. The mine has an annual production capacity of 9.44 Million Tonnes of thermal coal. The company said this strategic expansion of its mining operations will strengthen its position in the thermal coal segment.

Gujarat Gas assures supply stability to Morbi ceramic industry

Gujarat Gas Ltd (GGL) has said it is supporting the revival of the ceramic industry in Morbi by ensuring uninterrupted gas supply and price stability amid recent geopolitical disruptions. Gujarat Gas is the authorised supplier of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Morbi.

The board of Rolex Rings has approved a proposal to buy back equity shares worth up to Rs 180 crore at a price of Rs 180 per share, comprising the purchase of 1 crore shares. The promoters of the company have indicated their intention not to participate in the proposed buyback.

Star Cement, a subsidiary of Star Cement North East, has acquired Jaitaran Renewable Power (JRPPL)’s shareholding from its shareholders. Consequently, JRPPL has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Star Cement North East and a step-down subsidiary of Star Cement.

Inventurus Knowledge Solutions to acquire US-based TruBridge for $565 million

Inventurus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., a US-based subsidiary of Inventurus Knowledge Solutions, will acquire 100% of the shareholding in US-based TruBridge Inc for $565 million.
