Spot silver rises to $90 per ounce for first time

Spot ‍ jumped ​above the key $90 ‌an ​ounce level for the first time as ​soft US ⁠inflation data cemented interest rate ​cut ⁠bets by the US Federal ‌Reserve on the ‌back of geopolitical ‍tensions, robust industrial ‍and investment demand and tightening inventories.

Silver prices rose ⁠more than 3% ​to $90 per ounce ⁠by 0308 GMT.
