BHV Prasad, former Executive Director (Projects) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), has assumed charge as Managing Director of ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL).
He joined MRPL in 1993 and held several key leadership positions across projects, marketing, human resources, corporate strategy and other functions before superannuating on May 31, 2026.
A mechanical engineer with an MTech from Manipal Institute of Technology, Prasad was associated with several major growth and infrastructure initiatives of MRPL, including refinery expansion and upgradation, project execution and development of strategic infrastructure.
In his new role, he will lead OPaL, a major integrated petrochemical company of the ONGC Group, based at Dahej in Gujarat.
