AXISCADES signs strategic MRO partnership with Embraer subsidiary OGMA

AXISCADES Technologies Limited signed a strategic partnership agreement with OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, an Embraer subsidiary, on Tuesday to provide aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for aircraft fleets in India. The collaboration targets Embraer’s Indian fleet, which includes VVIP and VIP aircraft, airborne early warning and control platforms, and commercial aircraft.

The Bengaluru-based aerospace and defence technology company will combine its expertise in aircraft design, avionics, radar, and electronic warfare with OGMA’s century-long experience in airframe and engine MRO. The partnership will focus on business opportunities in India, the , and the Middle East and North Africa region, leveraging OGMA’s relationships with major manufacturers including Airbus Defence, Rolls-Royce, and Pratt & Whitney.

AXISCADES is developing an integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing and MRO facility near Bengaluru International Airport. The hub will include dedicated hangars, engine shops, electronics manufacturing, and certification testing capabilities.

Alfonso Martinez, CEO-International at AXISCADES, said the partnership aims to create capabilities addressing global market opportunities while supporting India’s self-reliance objectives. Paulo Monginho, OGMA’s CEO, stated the collaboration would expand their footprint while delivering certified MRO and engineering solutions to Indian and global customers.

AXISCADES operates across 17 locations globally with over 3,000 professionals. OGMA, part of the Embraer Group since its 65 percent stake acquisition, has provided manufacturing and maintenance services since 1918.

The shares of AXISCADES Technologies Limited were trading on the at ₹1,139 down by ₹13.40 or 1.16 percent today at 11.35 am.
