Pearl Global Industries (PGIL) is not a bare cut-and-sew job worker; it is a turnkey global apparel manufacturer with 25 plants in five countries — India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia and Guatemala — offering design, sourcing and full-package manufacturing to global apparel brands. The platform has scaled up over recent years to installed capacity of 10.80 crore pieces ) at optimum utilisation and shipments of 7.81 crore pieces in FY26.
Production is allocated across the five countries by tariff exposure, customer needs, product complexity and proximity to end markets. Bangladesh anchors scale, Vietnam carries higher-value and excels at technical products, Guatemala is a speed saviour with near-shore access to the US, Indonesia is mid-ramp, and India—largest single pool of under-utilised capacity — is where the next recovery sits.
FY26 was an acid test. The US duties briefly put India at a steep disadvantage. PGIL absorbed ₹36 crore of tariff burden; yet EBITDA margin rose to 9.2 per cent as the company moved orders to Bangladesh and Vietnam.
All in all, we estimate revenue, EBITDA and PAT CAGR would be 16, 24 and 29 per cent, respectively, over FY26–29 with the balance sheet turning net cash by FY29E factoring in capex of about ₹200 crore a year. Initiating PGIL at Buy with a TP of ₹1,610 (25x FY29E EPS).
Risks: US consumer demand, trade policy, concentration (geo, customer), India ramp-up, Vietnam realisation, forex.
