-based real estate developer Casagrand has announced that it is shifting its workday from the structure to 8 AM–4 PM. This company suggests that the move will place greater emphasis on focused and purposeful work while creating more room for life beyond work.
The early start and early finish work culture is popular in Europe, especially in the Nordic countries that prioritize the early-to-start and early-to-finish timing for employees to have life outside of work.
Beginning the day at 8 AM allows employees to travel before peak-hour congestion, potentially saving long tiring hours of commuting time each day.
“We believe that conventional work hours can leave employees exhausted, especially with the added stress of commuting during heavy traffic hours. Additionally, they often leave little time to pursue recreational and fitness activities or spend quality time with their loved ones. Hence, we have chosen unconventional office hours, as employee wellbeing is integral to building a happy, engaged, and productive workforce,” Sumanth Krishna R, Director, Casagrand, said.
