Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) has secured a one-week extension to submit its response to complaints alleging misgovernance, filed by two trustees, Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh.

The trust, which is the largest shareholder of Tata Sons, was given seven days until October 12 to respond to the allegations. Now, it has been granted an additional week’s time till October 19 to file its say.

Srinivasan and Singh have demanded that the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra probe into the affairs of SDTT and have raised concerns over Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata’s move to ask the Tata Sons board to explore steps other than listing. Srinivasan has also accused Tata of trying to carry out a power grab at SDTT.

SDTT, meanwhile, denied all assertions made in the complaints and also filed a caveat to ensure it gets heard before any order is passed.
