DRI conducts search at plant owned by Waaree Energies arm

Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence have conducted a search at a manufacturing plant owned by an arm of .

The search proceedings were conducted on Thursday and continued till 6.40 pm, the company said in an exchange filing.

“The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted a search at the manufacturing plant of Sangam Solar One Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company situated at village Unn in Navsari, Gujarat,” it said.

The search was related to the classification of certain stainless-steel pipes and tubes imported under the EPCG Scheme and the consequent applicability of Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD) thereon.

The company has already deposited the ADD amount of ₹2,33,82,930, along with applicable interest.

In a separate filing, Waaree Energies said the company has secured an order from state-owned SECI for development of a solar project, along with battery storage set-up in Maharashtra.



The order is for a 700 MW solar and 700 MW/2,800 MW energy storage solution (ESS) renewable energy power project at Solapur in the state, Waaree Energies said.

The order has been secured through its wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd (WFEPL).
