jumped 7.47 per cent to ₹1,314.40 by mid-session on Tuesday, touching an intraday high of ₹1,316.40, as investors reacted to a stronger-than-expected Q2FY27 earnings report released after Friday’s close. At current levels, the stock has rebounded sharply from its 52-week low of ₹1,030 hit in July, though it remains well below its February peak of ₹1,780.10. Traded volume crossed 1.34 crore shares by 12.26 pm, with buy orders accounting for nearly 65 per cent of the order flow.

The quarterly results showed EBIT margins expanding 131 basis points quarter-on-quarter to 18.2 per cent, a 20-quarter high, while services revenue grew 3.0 per cent QoQ in constant currency. Advanced AI revenue reached $219 million, up 28.4 per cent QoQ, and new deal total contract value surged to $3.25 billion, a 26.8 per cent year-on-year increase. FY27 revenue guidance was revised upward to 2.5–4.0 per cent in constant currency, though the organic growth midpoint remained broadly unchanged. The company also announced a Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.

Analyst views are sharply divided. Anand Rathi upgraded the stock to Buy with a target of ₹1,435, citing AI monetisation and the Anthropic partnership, while Nomura maintained Buy at ₹1,330. HSBC and CLSA held their Hold ratings at ₹1,225 and ₹1,094 respectively. Kotak Securities and JM Financial retained Reduce calls, with targets of ₹1,220 and ₹1,160, flagging full valuations and software segment weakness. JPMorgan (Underweight, ₹1,080) and Citi (Sell, ₹1,050) were more cautious, pointing to slowing organic growth and a 20–25 per cent valuation premium to peers TCS and Infosys.

The software segment remained a drag, with revenue declining 11.2 per cent YoY in constant currency, tempering the otherwise healthy services performance.
