Loans by Italian banks to non-financial companies rose in May at their fastest pace since September 2022, Bank of Italy data showed on Thursday.
Loans to non-financial companies were up 3.5% year-on-year in May, after a 3.1% rise in the previous month.
Deposits held by residents at Italian banks grew 2.7% annually, from 2.9% in April.
Bond fundraising increased by 4.1% yearly in May down from 4.2% in April.
