Krishival Foods hits 15,000 deep freezer mark as Melt N Mellow bets big on cold chain

Krishival Foods Limited announced on Monday that its ice cream brand Melt N Mellow has crossed 15,000 deep freezer deployments across its retail network, marking a roughly fourfold expansion in cold chain infrastructure over the current financial year.

The Mumbai-based FMCG company said its freezer count grew from 3,732 units at the start of the year to 15,490 units as of March 31, 2026. The rollout covers over 30,000 retail touch points spread across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

The stock was trading at ₹328.95 on Monday morning, up 0.57 per cent from its previous close, with a total market capitalisation of approximately ₹733 crore.

Chairman Sujit Bangar said the expansion was aimed at strengthening last-mile distribution for the company’s frozen products, with a focus on Tier II and Tier III markets. CEO of Melt N Mellow, Abhishek Puranik, called the milestone a step toward building a scalable distribution ecosystem for the brand.

The company operates a manufacturing facility with a stated capacity of one lakh litres per day. Krishival Foods, which also sells premium nuts and dried fruits under the Krishival Nuts brand, listed on exchanges in June 2025. Its stock has returned 48 per cent over the past year against Nifty 50’s 2.28 per cent, though it remains about 32 per cent below its 52-week high of ₹483.81 recorded in October 2025.

The company said it plans to deepen its presence in existing markets and further expand into smaller cities.
