LT Foods opens Daawat Basmati “Factory” at KidZania for children

LT Foods Ltd., the Delhi-based FMCG company behind the Daawat brand, on Tuesday launched an experiential Daawat Factory at KidZania India, giving children a hands-on look at how basmati rice goes from paddy to packaged product.

The facility, open to children aged 4 to 14, runs a 25-minute session in which participants take on the role of a Production Engineer. They navigate a simulated processing line covering stages such as paddy procurement, pre-cleaning, ageing, de-husking, de-stoning, colour sorting, and packaging. Each child completing the session receives a 200g pack of Daawat Basmati and a digital certificate.

KidZania India operates edutainment centres in Mumbai and Delhi NCR, where children engage in role-play activities across more than 100 occupation scenarios. The Daawat Factory is the latest brand-led installation at the parks, which the company calls “Purpose Partner” activations.

Ashwani Arora, Managing Director and CEO of LT Foods, said the partnership aims to build consumer awareness from an early age about quality standards and the production process behind the brand. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of KidZania India, said the installation connects children with a product present in most Indian households.

LT Foods, reported consolidated revenue of approximately ₹8,773 crore for FY25. The company sells its products in over 80 countries and owns the Royal brand in North America in addition to Daawat in India. It has posted a five-year revenue CAGR of 16 percent and a PAT CAGR of 21 percent.

KidZania operates across 27 cities in 21 countries and has been present in India since 2013.
