Radico Khaitan’s Rampur whiskies win gold at International Tasting Competition

Two whiskies from Rampur range won gold medals at The Fifty Best World Whisky Tasting 2025 in New York. Rampur Barrel Blush Indian Single Malt Whisky and Rampur Asava Indian Whisky received the awards through a blind tasting process conducted by an international jury.

The competition brought together journalists, spirits professionals, retailers, and mixologists who evaluated entries based on professional criteria. Medals were awarded solely on judges’ assessments without knowledge of brand identities.

Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director of Radico Khaitan, described the recognition as validation of the company’s global expansion strategy for Rampur. He stated the awards demonstrate Indian single malts can compete with established international whisky brands.

Sanjeev Banga, President of International Business at Radico Khaitan, emphasized the significance of blind tastings in providing unbiased quality assessments. He said the company will continue focusing on distribution expansion and brand development to establish Rampur as a long-term competitor in the global whisky market.

Radico Khaitan ranks among India’s largest spirits manufacturers, operating since 1943. The company maintains distilleries in Rampur, Sitapur, and Aurangabad, with a combined owned capacity of 321 million liters. It exports alcoholic beverages to over 100 countries and supplies branded products to India’s Canteen Stores Department.

The awards align with Radico Khaitan’s premiumization strategy and reflect growing international acceptance of Indian single malts.

The shares of Radico Khaitan Limited were trading on the NSE today at ₹2,798.60 down by ₹38.90 or 1.37 per cent at 12.10 pm.
