Royal Enfield launches Bullet 650 at ₹3.64 lakh

Royal Enfield on Thursday launched the Bullet 650, its most powerful iteration of the iconic nameplate, priced at ₹3,64,856 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle goes on sale across all authorised dealerships in India starting today and will be offered in two colour options — Cannon Black and Battleship Blue.

The Bullet 650 is powered by a parallel twin 650cc engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a light slipper clutch. The motorcycle rides on a steel tubular spine frame with Showa suspension — 41mm front forks with 120mm travel and twin-tube rear hydraulics with 112mm travel. Wheel sizes are 19-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear.

The design retains several classic Bullet elements, including the teardrop fuel tank with hand-painted gold pinstripes, a winged 3D badge, casquette-mounted LED headlamp, and the twin “tiger-eye” pilot lamps — a feature on Royal Enfield motorcycles since 1954. The exhaust setup uses a pair of chrome peashooter pipes. The instrument cluster combines an analogue dial with a digital LCD readout showing fuel level, gear position, trip meter, and service reminders.

B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, said the objective was to elevate the Bullet rather than reinterpret it, integrating the 650cc twin platform while preserving its original character. The motorcycle had its global debut at EICMA 2025.

First introduced in 1932, the Bullet is the world’s longest-running motorcycle in continuous production, currently in its 94th year. Royal Enfield, a division of Eicher Motors Limited, operates over 2,074 stores in India and around 1,212 stores across 80-plus countries.
