SAMHI Hotels posts record PAT of ₹5,665 million in FY26, stock gains 2.3% on results day

reported a profit after tax of ₹5,665 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2026 — a 5.6x jump year-on-year — as the company disclosed its audited consolidated results on Thursday. The stock closed at ₹150.08 on the NSE on Friday, up 2.35 per cent on the day, though it remains down nearly 19 per cent over the past year from a 52-week high of ₹254.50.

Total income for FY26 rose 12.3 per cent year-on-year to ₹12,790 million, ahead of the company’s guided range of 9–11 per cent. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) grew 9.5 per cent to ₹5,365, with occupancy at 74 per cent. Consolidated EBITDA rose 8.8 per cent to ₹4,626 million, though margins narrowed to 36.2 per cent from 37.3 per cent a year earlier, weighed down by GST-related changes. Excluding the GST impact, the company said EBITDA growth would have been 13 per cent.

For the fourth quarter alone, total income came in at ₹3,535 million, up 9.3 per cent, while RevPAR grew 4.1 per cent to ₹6,041 despite geopolitical disruptions in March. Quarterly PAT stood at ₹3,994 million, substantially boosted by a deferred tax asset of approximately ₹3,000 million recognised during FY26.

Net debt stood at ₹14,507 million as of March 31, 2026, with a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 3.1x, up from 2.9x in September 2025 due to active capital deployment. The interest rate on borrowings improved to 7.9 per cent from 9.2 per cent a year prior.

On the portfolio front, the company added four hotel projects during the year, including a ~700-room property under construction in Navi Mumbai. It also acquired a 70 per cent stake in RARE India, a platform of 73 hotels spanning heritage and boutique properties. GIC, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund, invested approximately ₹6,000 million for a 35 per cent minority stake in a sub-platform of around 1,000 rooms.

The company trades at a trailing P/E of 5.69 with a total market capitalisation of ₹3,332 crore.
