Samvardhana Motherson Q4 FY net profit grow by 46% y-o-y to ₹1,561.56 crore

Major auto components maker, on Wednesday reported a 46 per cent jump year-on-year (y-o-y) in its consolidated net profit to ₹1,561.56 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31 (Q4 FY26) driven by robust performance across businesses.

The company, which had posted a consolidated net profit of ₹1,072.27 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal, said its Board has also approved raising of ₹5,000 crore through non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis.

Consolidated total revenue from operations also rose by 8.4 per cent y-o-y to ₹34,309.31 crore for the quarter in review as compared with ₹31,630.84 crore in the Q4 FY25.

The company informed that total expenses in Q4 were higher at ₹32,355.72 crore as compared to ₹30,028.22 crore in the same period a year ago.

For FY26, the company reported consolidated net profit of ₹4,085.55 crore, a decline of 1.4 per cent y-o-y as against ₹4,145.7 crore in FY25, SAMIL said. However, consolidated total revenue from operations stood at ₹1,26,103.67 crore in FY26 as compared to ₹1,13,662.57 crore in FY25.

Meanwhile, the Board has recommended a final dividend of 25 paise per equity share of face value of Re 1 each, it added.

Our long-time focus on diversification helped us outperform the market. We continued to remain focused on improving capital efficiency while making strategic investments for future growth to support our customers,” Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman,SAMIL, said.

The improvement in the leverage ratio and a strong booked business of $96 billion reinforces, the group’s commitment to sustainable value creation.

“We are progressing confidently towards Vision 2030 while navigating unforeseen challenges and pursuing long-term opportunities,” he added.

Shares of SAMIL closed at ₹132.30 apiece on the on Wednesday, up 0.65 per cent from the previous close.
