Silver prices rose 1.21 per cent to ₹2.56 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Thursday, amid uncertainty over West Asia peace deal.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for July delivery increased by ₹3,068, or 1.21 per cent, to ₹2,56,333 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,053 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
In the overseas market, Comex silver futures increased 0.78 per cent to $77.97 per ounce.
