Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd on Thursday said it will acquire Singapore-based Workstudio Spaces to expand its business in the country.
In a regulatory filing, the company announced the “proposed acquisition of Workstudio Spaces Pte. Ltd, a Singapore-based flexible workspace provider with an operational footprint of 26,000 sq ft”.
The company did not disclose the deal value. The acquisition will be done through its wholly owned subsidiary, Smartworks Space Pte Ltd.
The transaction is expected to be completed in July 2026, the company informed the stock exchanges.
Upon completion, Smartworks’ Singapore portfolio is expected to expand to four centres, with its footprint increasing to 76,000 sqft and total seating capacity exceeding 1,500.
Smartworks has a portfolio of 16.1 million square feet across 66 centres. These facilities are located in 15 cities across India and Singapore.
