K2 Infra bags ₹390.91 crore Telangana road contract

K2 InfraGen Ltd has secured a road infrastructure contract worth ₹390.91 crore from the Government of Telangana, the Gurugram-based company announced today.

The contract covers construction, upgradation, strengthening and maintenance of selected roads under the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED) in the Bhongir Circle. It falls under the Telangana Rural Roads Development Programme on Hybrid Annuity Mode — Phase I, Package No. 2.

Under the Hybrid Annuity Mode structure, the project will require K2 Infra to form a Special Purpose Vehicle and complete agreement formalities within a defined timeline before execution begins.

The company’s stock slipped 2.24 per cent to ₹67.50 on the NSE SME Emerge platform, with sellers outnumbering buyers — 86.27 per cent of traded quantity was on the sell side against 13.73 per cent on the buy side. Traded volume stood at 0.26 lakh shares with a traded value of ₹0.17 crore. The stock’s total market capitalisation stands at approximately ₹84.86 crore, making the order value more than four times the company’s current market cap.

The contract adds to K2 Infra’s portfolio, which spans roads, power and railway infrastructure. The company listed on the NSE SME Emerge platform in April 2024 and currently trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 6.49.

Managing Director Pankaj Sharma said the project would support access to markets, education, healthcare and economic opportunities for communities in the Bhongir Circle region.

The Bhongir Circle falls in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana. Improved rural road connectivity in the area is expected to benefit farmers, local businesses and essential service providers.
