Rathi Steel and Power, a leading player in stainless steel long products and TMT bars, has recorded a 30 per cent increase in sales volumes of 28,372 tonne in the June quarter against 21,864 tonne logged in the same period last year.
Revenue for the quarter jumped 24 per cent to ₹193 crore year-on-year.
The sales was supported by the company’s diversified product portfolio across Stainless Steel products and TMT rebars, along with continued efforts to expand its market reach, said the company.
The balanced approach enabled the company to strengthen volumes and turnover while navigating challenging market conditions, it added.
The TMT rebar segment was a key contributor to the company’s performance during the quarter, with sales volume doubling from 8,295 tonne to 18,677 tonne y-on-y.
The strong scale-up in TMT rebar sales, strengthened the company’s overall product mix and provided greater flexibility to respond to varying demand conditions across segments.
The company managed to deliver an increase in sales volume despite adverse geopolitical conditions, volatile energy costs and fluctuating demand momentum.
Going forward, the company remains focused on leveraging its diversified capabilities to capitalise on emerging opportunities, it said.
